What is a 30-minute talk for?

Do you have a concept, prototype, or product in the agrifood sector that involves challenges related to Robotics, Data, and/or AI? Are you interested in exploring how a TEF Service could support you?

Book a 20-30 minute online consultation with one of our experts. The outcome of this meeting may include:

  • A referral to the most suitable expert at WUR or another organization within the agrifood innovation ecosystem.
  • An invitation to visit one of our facilities for a more in-depth exploration of your challenge. This “TEF Light Session” is a no-obligation, 3-hour workshop with the most relevant expert(s).

Let’s discuss your ideas and challenges. On the booking page, you can view the availability of our experts and schedule a time for your online consultation.

What is TEF Light?

TEF stands for Testing and Experimentation Facilities. WUR has more than 60 TEFs across the Netherlands. For many SMEs, starting a collaboration with WUR can feel like a big step. TEF Light offers an easy way to get acquainted.

During a TEF Light session, you spend time with one or two WUR experts to present your innovation or idea, demonstrate your solution, and receive feedback. Why is this valuable? WUR experts have extensive experience with innovations and developments across the agrifood sector. Independent, no-obligation feedback can provide new insights and help you move forward.

It is a win-win: you gain valuable expertise, and the session may reveal opportunities for future collaboration if there is a good match between your needs and our expertise.

Why is there a fee for TEF Light?

Just as you might visit an inspiring company for half a day to learn and gain new insights, a TEF Light session gives you direct access to experienced experts and valuable knowledge. Making these experts available requires time and resources, while their regular work continues.

A TEF Light session costs €500 for a 3-hour session with a WUR expert. If your challenge requires the involvement of two experts, the fee is €1,000. The exact scope and corresponding fee will be discussed during the intake conversation, based on your needs.

By charging a fee, we ensure commitment on both sides and create a focused, productive exchange. It allows us to dedicate the right expertise and time to your challenge. We take your innovation seriously, and we ask the same in return.
